Love’n’Joy’s sound draws influences from Brit-Pop, 60s and 70s Psychedlia and elements of Indie Rock. Plenty of heavy guitars are giving their sound a rougher edge, and the strong, contemporary lyrics reflect the spirit of a new, resurgent Ukrainian culture.

Sincy May 2022, the band has been touring to raise money for its campaign Musicians Defend Ukraine. The 2022 released LP „Half-home“ turned out to be a prophetic work of the band. The album was finished at the band’s recording studio „Crimy Rec“ in Kyiv, exactly 3 days before the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

To find a way to support their country and be useful in these circumstances, the guys went on a charity tour, living a „Half Home“ life on the road from show to show, traveling the world to spread the true word about Ukraine.

Mermaid Man ist das Ergebnis eines intensiven Songwriting-Prozesses, der während der Pandemie begann und mit der Veröffentlichung des Debütalbums "Let's Dance To The End Of The World" im September 2024 abgeschlossen sein wird. Musikalisch verschmilzt das Soloprojekt von Robin Heller (ehemals Sir Robin & The Longbowmen) Psychedelic Garage, Funk, Soul und Wave zu einer musikalischen Einheit, die eine vielschichtige Identität bildet. Bereits im Januar diesen Jahres erschien der Titeltrack „Let’s Dance To The End Of The World“ samt Video. Im Live-Format treten Mermaid Man als vierköpfige Band auf, die sich aus einem internationalen Ensemble Berlin-ansässiger Musiker*innen zusammensetzt.
